Commodities Trading Lawyer recruitment
A leading international energy brand is currently seeking a commodities lawyer to join their well established legal team. As part of this forward thinking market leader, you will enjoy a diverse workload, collegiate team environment and excellent training and mentoring.
Reporting directly to the General Counsel you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to the trading business in respect to its financial product trading and gas master agreements including:
- Advice and negotiation of master trading documentation (ISDAs, EFETs, DRVs)
- Structuring and negotiation of trades based on the master documentation
- Working with other lawyers supporting financial product trading in the Oil trading business and in North America and Asiato create a core of expertise in this area
- Liaising with financial regulatory lawyers
Ideally you will be a qualified lawyer with a minimum of 2 years experience in the area of commodities or trade finance law gained in a leading firm or in-house organisation. This role would suit a junior lawyer who would like to make their first move into the energy sector. You should have strong communication skills and confident presentation in order to establish credibility with senior business stakeholders and build an internal profile within the organisation.
