Commodity Derivatives Settlements Analyst recruitment

Working on the validation and settlement of all financially traded products including FX, FX Options, Oil and Gas, Swaps and Exchange Traded Products.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

• Working closely with the Front Office, supporting and introducing improvements to the trading systems and work flow processes.
• Liaison with teams ranging across Risk Management, Legal, IT, Finance, Treasury and Credit.
• Supporting the trading desk in building strong counterparty relationships, ensuring quality information flows across the business.

Key aspects of the role will include:
• Issuing trades and investigating / resolving discrepancies quickly and effectively.
• Ensuring margin calls are validated and paid within stated timescales.
• Proactively investigating and taking action to resolve any disputes with counterparties.
• Developing an in depth understanding of the various general and bespoke contract terms and conditions for the products, as well as developing robust validation techniques for these invoices.
• Ensuring all processes and procedures are constantly reviewed, documented and updated.

The successful candidate will need to be educated to degree level or posses equivalent work experience in a trading environment. They must be able to demonstrate an in depth knowledge of the mechanisms of financially traded energy products, with particular focus in on understanding of exchanges and the clearing process.

Additionally, the successful candidate will need to have experience in the confirmations and invoicing processes, specifically for energy and other related products, with a particular emphasis on financial products.
