Commodity Investor Products Specialist – London recruitment
The Role:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Commodity Investor Products Specialist to join our growing Commodities team in our London office.
The successful individual will know the global commodity investor product markets well (such as ETFs, ETNs, indices), the decision making process of commodity investors, be familiar with multiple commodity sectors, and have a strong network of contacts in the market to stay in touch with market developments and needs.
The role requires communicating with users, learning/knowing what users need and then synthesizing this information to design financial products which can be used across the market by many users. The successful individual will be a people person with excellent listening skills and the ability to pick up on great customer ideas. The individual will also have strong selling skills and an in depth understanding of good financial markets design.
In addition to setting strategy, other responsibilities will include sourcing information, obtaining feedback from clients and managing ad-hoc projects that are part of the overall product strategy. The candidate will play a central part in the marketing of any product launch.
Requirements:
-Strong knowledge of commodities, especially Commodity Investor Products.
-Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal.
-Prior experience in project delivery.
-Existing contacts on Commodity Investor Products trading and sales desks.
-Sales experience and strong relationship building skills
-Ability to assess the difference between good and bad function design.
- Ability to follow through on goals independently while communicating progress.
