Gambro Global Purchasing will recruit a Commodity lead buyer who will work within the Global Strategic Sourcing team with the work location in Lund reporting to the Head of Global Strategic Sourcing - Monitors. The position will involve, lead and drive the global sourcing strategy, commodity strategy, supplier strategy and battle plan implementation.
As the commodity lead buyer you will
• Work closely with strategic sourcing manager developing the assigned commodity strategy, battle
plan, supplier strategy and implementation plan to meet the quality, cost and consolidation targets.
• be responsible for request-for-quote, bidding process, negotiations and supplier selection for
material purchase within assigned commodities, including total cost analysis, from product idea thru
End-of-Life
• Identify, develop qualify Electronics / Electro-mechanics suppliers Globally especially in
emerging markets and support Low Cost Region Sourcing strategies
• Be responsible for implementing and executing Direct sourcing Initiatives and processes, define the
sourcing plan including LCC plan, DTC plan and negotiation plan.
• Effectively communicate with product purchasing from different sites and cross-functional team
including RD, MFG and QA for effective project execution
• Identify major projects/initiatives with product purchasing and cross-functional team, lead supplier's
selection/qualification with supplier development and supplier quality, continuously drive
simplification of processes and products, benefits for the business.
• Driving and deliver deflation whilst ensuring the surety of supply of Materials and Services.
• Lead the global supply agreement and quality agreement negotiation and contract finalization,
monitor performance of contracts;
• Lead key suppliers negotiation and deliver year-over-year cost reduction
• Understand and support to drive quality improvement with suppliers.
• cooperate with Product Purchasing, Supplier Development, Product Management, Quality and
Manufacturing Engineering and global plants to drive the global sourcing projects and continuous
improvements.
We think you have a university degree in engineering or business and at least 3 years global sourcing experience from a global organization. You need to have strong knowledge of and experience in strategic sourcing and contract management, great desire to develop career in Sourcing with a World Class Sourcing Organization, strategic thinking with strong business acumen and ability to create/drive Change strong communication and negotiation skills and the ability to work effectively, Excellent, Interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; you also need to be analytical, result-oriented, innovative, adaptable, self-motivated and team player. Knowledge of SAP and project management experience are also experiences that we consider beneficial in this position, Green Belt / Black Belt certified is highly desired; It is essential to be fluent in English, have good computer skills and a willingness to travel.
Speaking fluent Swedish and English is required. The position will be placed in Lund Sweden.
