Commodity Manager
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing the Supply Chain/Commodity Manager will work integrally with all product BUs within the company on the design and development of products to ensure all new products will hit the market on-time, at volume and at/below the cost target. The Supply Chain/Commodity Manager must have a desire to drive continuous improvement efforts from design through delivery. Some selected responsibilities include:
Drive cost out of products by developing supplier and commodity strategies and leading cost negotiations on key electronic components.
Lead the development and execution of electronic component sourcing strategies
Negotiate component pricing and supply contract terms and conditions to achieve business and product cost goals
Develop relationships with key stakeholders to drive on-going sourcing and cost reduction initiatives.
Lead quarterly business review process to drive continuous improvement in cost with all business units and key component suppliers.
Manage the phase in/ implementation of cost reductions at Contract Manufacturers.
Who we're looking for
10+ years of experience, Bachelors degree required and prefer candidates with advanced degree/MBA. Should have electronics (e.g. PCBs, sensors, switches etc.) and Asian-sourcing background. Extensive background in supplier program development and project management a large plus.
