Commodity Markets Research – Product Manager required – Circa £75K recruitment
The company has experienced steady growth for the past 10 years and have ambitious plans for the next few years and due to this have created the new role of Product Manager to be based in London.
The purpose of this role is to ensure that my client maximises the effectiveness of their editorial, IT development and sales and marketing efforts by always ensuring their products answer the different and evolving needs of the global client base.
This role represents an outstanding opportunity for an analytically minded professional to act as the business leader for this market leading, specialist information product in a diverse and truly global market.
Role and Responsibilities
• Refine the target markets. Research and accurately segment the markets into clear groupings, based on particular needs, sectors and geographies, thereby informing marketing and helping management prioritise sales and campaign efforts
• Reach out to the clients. Build relationships with key clients to ensure the company is always aware of changing market conditions and the evolving needs and challenges of customers
• Lead product development. Drive product development on all fronts to ensure that decisions concerning editorial content, functionality and market data are always directed at answering clearly identified customer needs
• Own product quality. Ensure that the products are always delivered to the highest possible standards in terms of functionality, editorial content and performance
Essential role related knowledge, skills and experience required
• Degree level educated as a minimum ideally in a numerate discipline
• Strong analytical background with experience in commercially focussed market facing roles.
• Detailed knowledge of comparable commodity or financial markets
• Proven ability to lead a product to market and analyse a competitive market place effectively
• Attention to detail
• Good IT skills to include exposure to databases
• Languages would be advantageous.
