Commodity Sales – Oil, Distillates recruitment
A boutique sell side trading house is looking to expand their activities and as such require someone in a sales capacity to cover Oil Distillates. The role will be a compound of product management and development, business development, networking, account management and client relationship management. It will suit those with outstanding market coverage and the wherewithal to develop business and create a market through ones own initiative. The product coverage is mainly OTC and financials over physicals. (elements of both)
Key duties:
Identify opportunities to grow volume and revenue from the OTC Oil market. Client base will be global, mainly FIs and NBFIs
Manage the relationships with existing Oil Distillates client base.
Identify and develop new product opportunities within Oil sales trading, developing strategies internally and close liaison with directors in order to achieve this.
Cross sell within existing client base across the firm
Update client base with relevant market activity
Active stakeholder in internal change management projects if and when applicable
The candidate needs to have a sales background within Oil the OTC market, a good grasp of execution platforms and the front to back trade flow as well as a good understanding of the market at large.
