Commodity Structurer- Asia – Sing – recruitment
My client, a top international investment bank, are looking to make the hire of an Associate level/ VP level commodity asset side structurer to join their team in Singapore.
The Role:
- Working in a team of 8 structurers/marketers, you will have responsibility for building the Asian asset side commodity derivatives business – building product capabilities, building up pipelines, testing and establishing counterparty lines. Sitting closely alongside the sales team to expand corporate and institutional client base.
- Conduct and synthesize researches on commodity markets and competitors’ strategies
- Conduct development of engines of commodity indices, presentations, performance updates, termsheets and monthly report.
- Role will have a primary focus on energy products (coal and Asian oil products), bulk (iron ore), and dry-bulk freight and derivatives
- Very client facing role, will negotiate execution of transactions with necessary parties and attend regular client meetings
- Is essential to have asset side structuring experience
- This team do not do Corporate structuring
- High preference for Mandarin speakers and strong Asian commodity experience
