The Role:

Job based in Singapore, servicing the Chinese Market. Successful candidate will report to the Regional Head of Structured Trade Finance
Job is to provide innovative trade related financing products ("STF") to financial institutions and to corporate customers, principally located in China.
Developing long term relationships with corporates and banks in the region to develop the portfolio of STF deals in the Chinese market
Creating, Managing and developing your own PL for the region
Coordinating with other STF team members globally and providing support for STF transactions originated in other regions
Opportunity to join a leading commodity trading house
Research, identify and originate new counterparties in existing and new markets and work jointly with global STF team for various structured trade propositions involving Chinese counterparties within and outside of China.

The Candidate

Essential to have experience of Trade Finance Asia in a VP level/ Manager or Director level role
Trade finance and Financial Markets experience gained from banking or finance related job is essential. Core experience of the Chinese financial markets desired. Knowledge of agricultural commodity markets/financing desirable
Experience of working with Structured Finance transactions important
International experience is not essential, but will definitely be an added plus
The candidate needs to be self-motivated and would also need to work closely with local (non-STF) support, particularly Treasury, Legal, Credit and other business units traders and execution team
Desirable to have in depth knowledge of banking and financial markets specifically trade regulatory guidelines
Excellent communication skills are important and Fluency in English and ideally another South East Asian language an advantage
Ability to quickly learn new products and to explain new products to counterparties
Self motivation and good organisational skills
