Principal Funds is looking for a Communications Strategist II today. Is that someone you?
Daily, this role will develop and implement strategic communication plans that support assigned mutual fund marketing strategies through printed and electronic messaging. This individual will manage assigned projects promoting the company's brand image and value propositions. In this role individuals may participate in strategic marketing planning, as needed.
What do we need from you?
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus 4-6 years marketing or communications experience but prefer individuals with 6-8 years related work experience required.
- Strongly prefer candidates with financial services knowledge, specifically investments.
- Comprehensive understanding of project management, marketing, advertising, and communication principles and the ability to apply them to work product is critical.
- Excellent project management, problem-solving, analytical, presentation, listening, and oral and written communication skills required.
- Must have excellent time management and decision-making skills, as well as strong diplomacy and negotiation skills.
- Must be able to build and maintain relationships in a matrix-driven environment; manage expectations and focus on results-orientation in a deadline-driven, multiple project environments.
- Ability to be confident and tactful is necessary.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of business unit applications preferred.
- Must be accurate and detail oriented.
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality.
- Travel, including overnight stays, may be required.
