Communications and Low Voltage Electrical Estimator Job in Holmdel 07733, New Jersey US
Position: Responsible for planning, assessment, implementation and ongoing management of structured cabling systems for multiple clients in multiple locations throughout Tri-state area. Change Order management, pricing, design, procurement, deployment and contract closure efforts of the clients cabling system solutions. The candidate will be estimating MACD work projects as well as organizing and updating as-built documentation for sites throughout the Tri-state ara. System components of the proposed solution includes inside voice/data wiring, copper and fiber backbone cabling, outside plant cabling, electrical services, telecommunications room build-out, data center build-out, cable pathway support structures (cable tray systems, conduit), multi-zone paging, wireless, electrical, audio/visual, access control and surveillance systems.
Typical daily activities will include proposal development and project estimating, writing RFP’s, writing responses to RFPs, managing projects, proposing and managing change orders, working with distributors, vendors, installation crews, manufacturers, and subcontractors, presenting on conference calls with sales teams and customer presentations with sales teams, site surveys, etc.
Candidate should have the vision to identify out-of-the-box opportunities and seamlessly turn standard MACD work into solution based sales.
Qualifications:
Strong structured cabling background (BICSI RCDD preferred, not required).
Record of success in sales, profitability, and customer service for federal customers and prime contractors preferred
Strong background of project management and estimating experience.
Degree or equivalent required.
