This State department is one of Tasmanian's leading employers dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of our community. An opportunity exists for an experienced Media and Communications Manager to join their team.
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Media and Communications Manager will lead and manage the internal information and communication programs. You will provide an accurate and timely response to the media and promote awareness of the services to the community. With a focus on developing and implementing an internal and external communication strategy, your professionalism and resilience will be like none other. This role will see you build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and journalists to promote and enhance the departments reputation. You will be responsible for all authoritative public relations advice to the CEO and General Manager.
You will have extensive experience in strategic communications, media relations and corporate publications coupled with proven experience in successfully managing a team and a relevant tertiary qualification. You will have highly developed communication skills and the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
