COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTANT – PART TIME recruitment
Description:
Our client, a premier financial services company, has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Communications Consultant to join their Edinburgh based team on a fixed term contract. The successful individual will be required to provide communication consultancy and guidance to senior leaders and project teams, whilst ensuring communications are coordinated and aligned with the strategic priorities of the business.
Core Responsibilities:
- Change communication management, planning and delivery, in partnership with colleagues across Group Communications and Group Digital.
- Communication consultancy to project teams, and operational areas across the business.
- Plan, implement and manage campaigns and other communication initiatives by working cross divisionally to ensure planned activity meets business needs and requirements.
- Write, amend and comment on written communications, ensuring the style and content is appropriate for the audience and meets legislative, brand and business requirements.
- Delivery of communication across a range of channels, ensuring that all relevant comments from stakeholders are considered and that audience insight is applied.
- Continuous review of communication methods, processes and practices in order that the highest quality of communications is maintained.
- Provide input to the development and implementation of the business's wider communication plans and processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships within the business and across the company to build an understanding of employee engagement issues.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organising skills along with the ability to work on your own initiative.
- Proven influencing skills.
- Ability to assimilate complex messages and distil into clear and easily understood messages.
Core Requirements:
Essential:
- Experience of leading and managing organisational change communications
- Good understanding of communications media and processes – print, digital, face-to-face etc.
- Demonstrable awareness of current affairs and how these relate to our client from a communications perspective.
- Background in Internal Communications
Desirable:
- Degree in related discipline or relevant professional qualifications.
- Publishing and development experience in relation to print and digital media.
- Knowledge and experience of the financial services industry in general.
