Position Description:
SunGard Financial Systems provides mission-critical software and IT services to institutions in virtually every segment of the financial services industry. This is an entry level Communications Executive position within a global team for a Fortune 500 company. Industry experience within a communications department is highly desirable.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Communications: (1) Be the point of contact for stakeholders for independently fulfilling all communication requests. (2) Draft communication in coordination with them, particularly with Corporate Marketing for enterprise-wide communications. (3) Deliver communications through all required channels.

• QA quarterly newsletter: Take independent ownership. (1) Collate articles throughout the quarter. (2) Re-write and edit announcements to convert them to articles. (3) Prepare all contents including articles, reports, etc. (4) Populate newsletter template. (5) Introduce content that maintains readers' interest and helps increase readership. (6) Coordinate with other groups as necessary to ensure high quality publication.

• Monthly IT Meeting: Take independent ownership. (1) Organize agenda and speakers; (2) host the calls; (3) be creative in creating the agenda and choice of speakers that benefits the listeners and keeps them interested; and (4) aim to increase participation over time. Be able to synchronize efforts for the Meeting and Newsletter as they have common tasks.

• Templates and guidelines for critical alerts: Maintain the templates list. (1) Monitor alerts being posted by Helpdesk and (2) give periodic constructive feedback on the same to ensure compliance with templates. (3) Regularly update templates to ensure all known issues and variants are covered.

• Projects: Participate in projects and planned changes to understand communication and documentation requirements and the sources for the same, and then fulfil those requirements.

• Allied Activities: (1) Monitor feedback and ensure enquiries resulting from communications are being responded to. (2) Monitor Chatter feed for useful posts. (3) Keep an updated list of relevant distribution groups, ensuring the group has permissions to send mails to it. Be aware of requirements for new distribution groups and get them fulfilled.

• Planning: Actively work towards refining communication strategy and the scope of the function. Identify problem areas, suggest solutions and if approved, get implemented.

• Coverage: Be available to respond to urgent communication requirements which could at times fall outside of office hours. Provide coverage for other roles in the group at times of high work load or absence of other team members.

Position Requirements:
Essential Experience Required;

• Demonstrable experience in English writing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with a firm command on language.
• Proficient in use of MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
