Communications Manager

Our Wealth Management division has four operating businesses: Colonial First State Global Asset Management - our asset management business, Colonial First State - our retail distribution business, Wealth Management Advice - our financial advice businesses and CommInsure - our Life and General Insurance business.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Communication Manager to join our small internal communications team, delivering both BAU and project based communication to Wealth Management Advice and its various financial planning licensees.
Reporting to the National Manager Advice Communications, the primary purpose of this role is to develop and implement a wide range of internal communication activities to inform, educate and motivate financial advisers, their managers and relevant support areas.
In addition, you will be responsible for the following:
- Providing recommendations on communication strategies, channels, formats and key messages, as well as researching, writing and implementing approved communications.
- Collaborate with other members of the communication team to manage the planning and production of a weekly online newsletter to advisers and regular communications from the Advice Leadership Team.
- Provide communications planning and support for selected projects, including organisational change projects, new business initiatives and issues management.
- Deliver clear, concise and effective communications that contribute to adviser satisfaction.
- Maintain and improve relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
As the ideal candidate you will have a good understanding of the advice process,highly experienced in a communications role within financial services, strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to communicate complex matters clearly and concisely, at all levels. Collaboration and a proactive approach to your work will be innate to the way you work.
