Communications Manager, Structured Finance, REITS & Public Housing knowledge required recruitment
The Communications Manager position is responsible for supporting communication efforts for Standard Poor's Ratings Services. Working closely with the assigned SP business units, this role develops and coordinates strategies that raise the visibility of SP and delivers clear and consistent messages.
Essential Accountabilities:
Provide day-to-day communications support for the Structured Finance and Real Estate Ratings Practices in the U.S. and Canada.
Additional Accountabilities
- Help develop analyses, reports and other special projects; write and edit press releases and work closely with senior colleagues to identify media opportunities; assist in promoting significant activities to press contacts.
- Work closely with other colleagues in Communications Department in providing support of other respective business unit areas.
- Develop talking points from existing material for senior management.
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree required. Advanced degree a plus.
- A minimum of 7 years of work experience in Media Relations, Journalism, and/or Public Relations experience in financial services
- Strong knowledge of structured finance is required
- Good knowledge of social media
- Outstanding relationship building skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- The ability and the desire to work in a deadline driven environment
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Strong project management skills
- The ability and the desire to conduct research to obtain information from a variety of sources on behalf of the Communications department
