Communications Manager, Structured Finance, REITS & Public Housing knowledge required recruitment

The Communications Manager position is responsible for supporting communication efforts for Standard Poor's Ratings Services. Working closely with the assigned SP business units, this role develops and coordinates strategies that raise the visibility of SP and delivers clear and consistent messages.

Essential Accountabilities:

Provide day-to-day communications support for the Structured Finance and Real Estate Ratings Practices in the U.S. and Canada.

  • Proactively develop and maintain relationships with trade, regional and national media. Serve as key media liaison on media inquiries related to the publications of research, commentaries, ratings actions, or any other information.
  • Maintain extensive contact with online, print and broadcast media while at the same time displaying proper judgment as a company 'spokesperson' when handling sensitive issues.
  • Support thought leadership and other key SP-wide initiatives through pro-active communications.
  • Organize public relations events, coordinate activities with business unit, Market Development and Standard Poor's global communications group.
