Communications PM
Currently looking for a Communication Project Manager to join the Fort Polk Network Enterprise Center project.
Job Description:
Responsible for managing all phases of assigned projects from kick-off to completion; including establishment and monitoring of master plans and change management tasks. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to establish all new and existing infrastructure communication needs on Fort Polk. Responsible for managing complex in-side and out-side plant telephone and network constructions.
The Communication Project Manager will make presentations to both internal and external stakeholders and will ensure all timely and accurate delivery of project documentation. Reviews and identifies all material purchase requests based on plans and best practices.
The Communication Project Manager will prepare documents and ensure that documents are current. Creates estimates of time lines for scheduled tasks, monitors and reports progress measured against established time lines.
Required Skills:
In Depth Knowledge and Understanding of:
Fiber Optics, Copper, Coaxial, Ethernet, Shielded Pair, Twisted Shielded Pair, CAT5 and CAT6.
Switches, Routers, Bridges, Modems, Taclanes, Transceivers, Transmitters, Multiplexers and Converters.
Additional required skills:
Ability to perform thorough and detailed analysis and development of plans based on industry best practices.
Demonstrated analytic abilities and strong organizational skills
Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Qualifications
Position requires a current secret security clearance or the ability to attain a secret clearance
A valid driver’s license is required.
