Communications Specialist recruitment
We are looking for an experienced Communications Specialist to provide advice and support to a business area of UBS Corporate Center. Reporting to the Head IT Communications, you will be the contact for a Group Technology division for all their internal communications needs.
The ideal candidate is someone who can take the lead and manage the entire internal communications package for their business area/region, but is also willing and able to step in and support other accounts as needed. While the position focuses on communications, it is important that the candidate is willing to coordinate all aspects of their projects if required.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Communications planning, based on the divisional communications strategy (involves both plan development and implementation).
- Drafting and editing high-quality written communication materials for online or other use, e.g. strategy articles, organizational announcements, speeches, quarterly or other ad-hoc communication.
- Coordinating review, translation and sign-off processes.
- Ensuring a two-way flow of information between Group Communications and Group Technology on strategic communication topics.
- Ensuring business area communications are inline with Group communications.
- Providing the business area with guidance on appropriate communication tactics and delivery vehicles, as well as support on certain projects and functions.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with business area, Group Communications Branding and other stakeholders.
- Proof-reading.
Requirements
- University degree in communications, journalism or marketing, or equivalent experience.
- Solid and demonstrable experience of writing and editing documents tailored to different audiences.
- Broad knowledge of IT and the financial services industry. It is desirable that the candidate possesses an interest in enterprise technology related products and services.
- Independent, accountable, hands-on approach to work. Team player who is willing to share ownership of materials and projects, as well as willing to work independently.
- Strong organization and coordination skills with a proactive, enthusiastic and flexible approach that demonstrates initiative.
- Project management experience desired.
- Extremely high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work with and communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals internally and externally.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with the confidence and bearing to work with senior management.
- Highly flexible and can adapt to ambiguity, frequently changing timeframes and short deadlines.
- Resilient to stressful situations and is willing to work occasional unorthodox hours, i.e. in the evening and on weekends, if the situation demands.
- Proven track record of delivering high quality work within a demanding environment
