Communications Specialist (temporary – cover for maternity leave) recruitment

· Media monitoring and production of local media highlights, using Factiva, Meltwater as well as other print and online sources. Produce brief English summaries of local language content for internal international distribution of media highlights. Back-up for setting up and distributing the joint highlights document for
· Dissemination of research on ratings and Global Fixed Income Research topics to European media. Summarize content in English or German language. Provide and distribute key messages on European research content to European Communications team.
· Organization of media briefings on selected topics. Identify topic and spokesperson, invite relevant journalists.
· Focus point for media inquiries and provide research from Global Credit Portal RatingsDirect and other SP sources (SP.com, RatingsIquery).
· Maintaining contact data in contact management program (Eloqua) for automated distribution of press releases and campaigns of research.
· Dissemination of media releases on selected research pieces via Eloqua for European audience.
· Composition of statistical information on media coverage.
· Administrative support within Communications team.
· Back-up function (vacation and illness cover).
Skills
· Ability to write effectively and possess strong channel communication skills for the production of publications, press releases, articles, reports, writing for the web, authoring of finance related communication pieces.
· Degree qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism or other business related field
· 3-5 years experience within a complex corporate environment, ideally financial services or PR agency is required.
· Possesses good knowledge of the business
· Familiarity with credit and financial markets
· The position requires highly developed interpersonal skills for persuading and obtaining cooperation with journalists, influencers etc
· Excellent computer skills including: MS Excel, MS Word, and the Internet/Intranet
· Excellent writing and copy editing skills
· Fluent German and English is required
