Atkins seeks an energetic, highly motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter to join our MEP Organization as a Communications Engineer in our Orlando, FL office.


Typical duties and responsibilities of this position are:
Requirements:
• Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the telecommunications engineering work in a part of a major project or in a total project of moderate scope.

• Performs preliminary engineering design and/or reviews the design and drafting work of junior designers or drafters.

• Prepares or oversees the preparation of final plans, specifications and reports and submits them for approval.

• Coordinates work with other engineers and professionals within and outside own discipline, and with support services staff.

• Conducts construction services on projects.

 

Job Requirements:

The appropriately qualified candidate will have the following core competencies and required experience:


• B.S. in Electrical Engineering with RCDD certification.
• Incumbents typically have six (6) to ten (10) years' experience since Bachelor's degree. P.E. license is not required.
• Experience with other electrical systems (lighting, power, fire alarm, security) of a building.
• AutoCAD/Revit knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical engineering calculations software is a plus.
