 Job Description:

The Community Manager will maximize revenue generation and/or awareness of THQ’s titles in digital space, with focus on leveraging various brand community sites.  Using assets and information provided by the development teams, the Community Manager will work with the Connected Marketing team, drawing on their knowledge of social networks and online marketing to foster and grow enthusiastic end-user communities.  Specifically, this position is to work on a highly-acclaimed real time strategy PC title so experience in that category is preferred.

 

Responsibilities:
• Develop the global community plan (across web/social channels) in partnership with the Interactive Marketing Team, and ensure it is executed successfully.
• Manage and lead the execution of the global community plan (either directly, or through an agency)
• Generate media placements on influencer channels (working with the Brand team or through an agency).
• Develop and maintain an excellent working relationship with the game team

• Develop and execute event plans revolving around community.
• Report on all things community

• Moderate message boards and live chats

• Create content to keep the consumer constantly engaged

 

 

Required Skills:

• 1-3 years experience working in community management, online journalism, or related field
• Extensive experience in online community development

• Experience with RTS category games, PC gaming experience preferred.
• Experience of moderating forum/social discussions
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in online gaming environments
• Adaptability to work in the fast moving online space
• Must be self-motivated and have strong organizational skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Able to conduct analysis of statistical information
• Experience of CRM tools
• Strong software, hardware, networking knowledge
• Proficiency in MS Office required

 

Preferences:

•             Bachelor´s degree

•             Experience with Content Management Systems

•             Experience creating video game screen shots, editing video and podcasts or similar media a plus

•             Write, edit and post content to blogs and web forums
