Family Preservation Services of Florida is seeking candidates to become part of a highly professional, creative and energetic team focused on improving community-based behavioral healthcare to children and adults.
Community Mental Health Counselors provides intensive in-home counseling and crisis intervention to children and their families.
Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited university or college with a major in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field.
BI-LINGUAL PREFERRED - (SPANISH SPEAKING)
Must be computer literate
All employees will be required to complete training in the following areas: initial assessments and evaluations; treatment planning and interventions; documentation; psychopharmacology; understanding the regulations for reporting child abuse and neglect; patient rights; crisis intervention to handle emergencies i.e. suicidal ideation, out of control behaviors etc.
Position requires reliable transportation, valid Florida Driver's License, and maintain vehicle insurance as required by law.
