JOB TITLE: Company Accountant
LOCATION: Runcorn, Cheshire
SALARY: circa £30-£40K
DURATION: Maternity Cover
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Produce the company’s monthly management accounts in excel format to reporting deadlines
· Identify and satisfactorily explain variances in actual results compared to forecast
· Ensure transaction processing is accurately posted to relevant ledgers and nominal codes to timetable
· Ensure monthly balance sheet reconciliations are accurately prepared
· Ensure accounting reports are produced and reconciled
· Ensure all accounting files are completely maintained to a high standard
· Adapt to changing circumstances and accept new ideas and initiatives
· Input into monthly and quarterly group reporting as required
· Manage Accounts Department staff
· Establish good working relationships with operational colleagues ensuring smooth flow of information and explanations both ways and making a strong and credible personal impression on others
· Develop commercial awareness and suggest opportunities for improvement
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
· Professional qualification - ACA or CIMA
