Company Accountant / Portfolio Administrator recruitment
Acorn Capital is an investment management company focused on listed and unlisted small and microcap equity. We are looking for a company accountant / portfolio administrator to join our team. This newly created role will encompass:
- Hands on accounting functions including general ledger; invoicing; budgeting; monthly and annual accounts; company tax filing and returns; trust BAS and ABS returns; and trust distributions and accounts.
- Portfolio administrative functions including processing of equity and foreign exchange trades; instructing corporate actions; liaising with custodians, brokers, clients, consultants and back office service providers; compliance and risk; performance and attribution; and unit pricing.
The successful candidate must have:
- At least 5 years’ experience as a CA/CPA
- A good understanding of tax and other regulatory requirements and a strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting
- Previous experience in fund accounting or in a portfolio administrative role, preferably with an investment manager, broking or custodial firm will be viewed favourably and;
- Strong numerical skills with ability to self-manage to strict deadlines.
