Company (CAG) Financial Internal Auditor – Senior Manager recruitment

Position Description
Morgan Stanley is seeking an auditor for its Corporate Audit team, this team covers the Compliance, Finance (including functional / thematic reviews of the Valuation Review Group and Product Controllers), Corporate Services Tax, Human Resources departments as well as other central functions in the EMEA region. The person will be part of a small team (currently 2 people) and will assist the Internal Audit department in completing its annual audit plan. To highlight those areas requiring control enhancements and providing recommendations for improvements.

Reporting locally to the VP in the team, the Senior Manager will perform risk assessments, plan and execute audits and lead integrated financial and technology audits.

Skills Required
• Have a good understanding of risk categories and performing risk assessments at an entity and at a process level.
• Preparing audit planning memorandum including identifying and evaluating key risks, setting audit scope, determining budgets and staff assignments.
• Possessing considerable experience performing walkthroughs, assessing the internal control environment and performing controls and substantive testing.
• Being able to manage audits to meet budgets and the time frame for completing audits.
• Being able to properly assess potential findings for significance.
• Drafting audit reports including writing clear and concise findings and recommendations.
• Following up actions quarterly with clients through to completion.
• Supervising more junior staff.
• Being able to articulate clearly to, and develop relationships with, audit clients.

Skills Desired
• Strong, proven experience auditing financial services including Internal Audit. Previous experience in auditing Finance or Compliance functions is a plus.
• Strong understanding of regulatory environment and regulatory bodies impacting the financial services industry.
• Strong working knowledge of key local regulations and ability to apply such knowledge to an audit plan / universe.
• Strong analytical skills. Able to quickly process information.
• Bright, motivated, pro-active and good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Degree educated (or equivalent), ACA or international equivalent preferred. Other relevant qualifications to be considered.
