Compensation Analyst

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and have a general knowledge of database utilization.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Must have a BA/BS in business, human resources or related field.  Minimum of 5 years compensation analyst experience (creating salary ranges, salary planning, and compensation research and development). Knowledge of construction industry is a plus.

This position is responsible for administering compensation programs and providing compensation tools/resources for the Kiewit Industrial Group.  Incumbent will evaluate and analyze salary data, determine pay grades and conduct or participate in compensation surveys.  Incumbent will partner with corporate compensation and KIG Management to help KIG retain and attract the best talent. 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:

Ensure jobs are appropriately measured against relevant internal and external (market pricing) benchmarks.

Explain/educate management on proper understanding of salary surveys

Determine appropriate job grades/levels and provide tools to benchmark internals/hires against data (i.e. increase/bonus planning, hiring, etc).  Work towards creating common job titles and compensation levels across KIG districts.

Help coordinate mid-year and annual review process. Provide necessary compensation tools to support merit/bonus recommendations.

Develop solid working relationships with district management and Human Resources teams.  This will involve traveling to other KIG districts and jobsites. 

Lead compensation projects as needed.

Identify key compensation opportunities or areas of concern, analyze situations and develop recommendations to address issues.
This position does require travel.
