MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

For this position the individual should be self-motivated and adopt a responsible approach to all deliverables, ensuring work produced is both accurate and timely. Owing to the number of departments that need to be dealt with, effective communication skills are essential. The individual should be a team player, with a flexible approach to assisting with the department’s workload.

The individual should possess strong analytical and Excel skills as they will be working mostly with large spreadsheets, access databases and related reporting.

The analyst will have the opportunity to support the Manager of Compensation Benefits in various projects. Day to day duties would typically entail the following tasks and responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support such as presentations, compensation Committee correspondence, scheduling, etc
• Provide analytical support
• Provide sales analysis and other recurring reports for compensation committee
• Create, collate and maintain data files in Excel/Access
• Ensure database integrity through maintenance and follow up
• Assist in global McLagan benchmarking data submission and analysis
• Assist in implementation/ongoing administration of Global Mobility Policy
• Update policies and procedures documents as instructed
• Assist in preparation of monthly global bonus accruals
• Act as point person to gather various data from regional compensation benefits contacts
• And other duties or projects, as assigned.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS EXPERIENCE:

Requisite

Technical Skills - Good Microsoft Office technology skills, including:
• Excellent excel skills, ability to create/maintain large spreadsheets and complex spreadsheet formulas
• Good working knowledge of access databases (create/maintain), including ability to develop reports
• Powerpoint presentation skills

Competencies:
• Good communication skills, ability to interface well with all levels within organization
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environment, often on short deadlines
• Ability to maintain confidentiality essential
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Exemplary attention to detail

Preferred

• Prior office experience in similar situation
• A Mathematics or Analytical background
• Facility with numbers, able to manage data
• Demonstrated ability to effectively use MS Office suite
• French language skills would be useful
