TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In 2011, HR and Finance have been working together much more closely on Compensation issues to make sure that compensation costs are properly understood and accounted for. We now want to formalise the joint working agenda, by creating a new role of Compensation Controller.
The Compensation Controller will be responsible for the accounting and reporting of all salary, bonus, and other types of remuneration, as well as planning and forecasting the compensation paid to Newedge employees. He or she will work closely with stakeholders in Human Resources, Finance and Business Lines.
The purpose of the role is to:
1) Improve the quality of the management information provided to Business Lines and Newedge Group
2) Assist BLs in managing compensation costs and variable comp ratio
Tasks / Responsibilities to include:
1) Ensure consistent mapping of employment costs (including Expats and Benefits) from Payroll into Management Accounts
2) Ensure consistent reconciliation of deferral accruals
3) Ensure global consistency of accounting treatment of Compensation costs
4) Understand all FO Bonus Plans / arrangements and maintain centralised record / on going accurate, inventory
5) Ensure all provisioning / accruals are for FO Bonus Plans are accurately managed
6) Regularly check sample of Payout calculations and produce standard template of how they should be calculated
7) Commitment to control, ensuring data has gone through proper internal controls.
8) Review, reconcile and substantiate general ledger account balances.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
The ideal candidate will come from finance background with extensive experience in forecasting, analysis and planning. Working experience with Compensation would be an advantage. You should have good communication skills and be able to work in an ever changing and complex environment.

• Motivated to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Good team player who actively contributes
• Strong MS office experience (especially Excel)
