As a Compliance Accountant your main responsibilities will involve:

-Performing the quality assurance of the reconciliation process known as Account Ownership and Reconciliation Policy (AORP) in Santander to ensure that the business comply with company policy
-Keeping Financial Control management informed at all times on status of accounts reviewed and of the action plans in place
-Tracking and monitoring of the progress of issues to a closed status, escalating where necessary
-Ensure the Report is signed off by the Account Owner in agreement with the recommendations and deliverable dates
-Ensuring the compliance with appropriate SOX controls
-Reporting on the monthly status of the process

As a Compliance Accountant your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Required
-Qualified Accountant
-Excel Expert (including pivot tables and vlookups)
-Relevant experience in dealing with account reconciliations
-Knowledge of financial markets, products and accounting

Desirable
-Desirable Audit background
-Relevant experience in bank auditing
-Relevant experience in a similar position in a Bank or other financial services organisation
