Compliance Advisor recruitment

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Compliance Professional, who is comfortable working as part of a small team, to ensure that ongoing regulatory and legislative changes are fully applied to the business, as well as providing ongoing regulatory and compliance training to new joiners, coupled with refreshers for existing staff to reflect updating regulatory changes. You will also take on the drafting and reviewing of policies and procedures and therefore a proven working knowledge of FSA rules pertaining to retail banking will be a pre-requisite.
 

The Successful Candidate will require the following:

• Extensive regulatory compliance experience gained from within the retail banking industry

• Detailed knowledge of FSA regulations and their application within the retail banking space (deposits and mortgages).

• In-depth knowledge and evidence of practical application of retail banking regulation and industry standards (BCOBS, PSR, ICOB, OFT, TCF),

• Any exposure to transactional banking would be highly advantageous

• Strong organisational, analytical and project management skills.

• Up to date knowledge of products, legislation regulation changes pertaining to the retail banking industry

• Ability to read and interpret relevant changes in legislation

• Ability to effectively co-ordinate the introduction of operational regulatory changes to the business

• Experience with understanding the practical application of TCF in a retail business, including building frameworks, measures etc.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential in communicating with a wide audience, clear, reasoned approach needs to be exhibited.

• Experience with drafting and reviewing regulatory policies, procedures and Management Information

Due to the highly technical nature of this role industry qualifications are highly desirable, in particular, FPC, IMC, CeMap.

Due to the contract nature of the role the ability to communicate at all levels, with strong self-motivation and organisational skills are needed to take full advantage of the opportunity  and all it encompasses. Rate commensurate with experience.
