Compliance Advisory – Corporate Finance recruitment

Core Responsibilities:

• Regulatory requirements in respect of transactions undertaken by Corporate Finance.

• Regulatory requirements in respect of the Corporate Finance business.

• Controls over confidential and inside information.

• Reputational risk.

• Resolution and management of conflicts of interest.

• Chinese walls and wall crossings.

• Drafting of policies and procedures for both the Compliance team and for the business lines.

Specialist Advisory Knowledge:

• Relevant FSA Conduct of Business Rules.

• UK Listing Rules.

• UK Takeover Panel Rules.

• New Product Approval process.

• Responding to regulatory enquiries and investigations.

• Interpretation of changes/updates to regulations and the provision of regulatory updates to Corporate Finance.

Essential Skills:

• Educated to degree level.

• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Have an organised and structured work style, working calmly under pressure.

• Be able to work as part of a team, but also with a degree of autonomy and independence.

• Have experience of corporate finance compliance.

• Ideally be familiar with the UK Takeover Panel rules and/or requirements of the FSA.

• Be able to interact effectively with staff at all levels in an organisation.

• Be discreet in the handling of confidential information and be proactive and execution focused.
