Compliance Analyst
Our client, a leading organisation in its sector with an enviable client base, seeks a Compliance Analyst - SOx, for its European finance team. Working with local management, the Compliance Analyst assists the European Compliance team with overall compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, assist with the SOX roll out process and ongoing compliance within the European region. They will also interpret accounting policies, processes and procedures as they relate to SOX compliance and Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR). This role includes preparation/maintaining and updating SOX documentation, assisting with the SOX testing process, preparing reports for Regional reporting and identifying control weaknesses.
As the business is going through a period of exciting change, this high-profile role will give you good exposure to senior management, helping you build good working relationships and a greater understanding of operations. This is seen as a good entry point for a career driven individual who is seeking progression into a role within finance.
Applicants should ideally be fully qualified accountant - ACA, CA, ACCA, CPA or European equivalent preferred, with solid audit, Sarbanes-Oxley or internal controls experience gained in practice or industry. Fluent written and spoken English is essential and further European languages, especially French, German or Spanish would be beneficial. Due to the nature of the role and European remit, travel of 50-75% can be expected.
