Role Overview: The Compliance Analyst works in the Compliance Unit within the Enterprise Risk Management, Legal and Compliance Group. The primary goal of the Compliance Unit is to design and implement a program that ensures the AOFM’s control framework is functioning as intended. This includes examining whether the operations, processes, documentation and functions of the AOFM are consistent with the financial management framework (legislative and policy) and regulatory requirements. In addition to the design and implementation of a robust compliance program, the Compliance Unit also undertakes a number of routine and project tasks.
The Compliance Analyst will be required to work on a variety of tasks such as advice related to the Chief Executive Instructions (CEIs) and financial delegations, secretariat duties, maintenance of policies and registers, completing tests as part of the certificate of compliance program, provision of training to other staff, and other duties as directed by Group management. The incumbent will be expected to contribute to team goal accomplishment, and improvement to compliance processes.
Qualifications: Degree qualification in auditing, finance, commerce or a related discipline from a recognised tertiary institution.
Experience: Experience in an audit or accounting field is expected along with technical skills in developing or applying financial frameworks. Experience with Australian capital markets or investment techniques of relevance to sovereign debt management would be well regarded.
