Position Overview

The Compliance Assistant (CA) reports directly to the Compliance Manager who oversees all company compliance areas including installer independence, OHSA and other regulatory compliance, insurance coverage and renewal, state and local business licensing, contractor licensing and permitting and company legal proceedings.  The CA is responsible for maintaining all required internal and regulatory documentation and providing general support to the Operations Team.  The CA will perform a wide variety of duties and work assignments, and be responsible for maintaining both hard copies and electronic archiving of the department’s internal and regulatory documents.  The CA will be responsible for the collection, preparation and filing of all internal and external background investigations.  The CA works directly with multiple departments to facilitate independent contractor set-up and ongoing maintenance.  The CA will perform internal compliance audits and assist with external insurance audits.

Essential Job Functions

·         Verify and compile complete independent contractor packets (to include federal, state and local regulatory licenses)

·         Process background investigations utilizing third-party administrator adjudication

·         Provide weekly written status updates concerning licenses and background investigations

·         Provide and monitor monthly insurance documentation status

·         Verify and maintain all company regulatory licenses and bonds

·         Perform scheduled system audits

·         Assist with external insurance audits

·         Generate/ maintain database for departmental documents

·         Support multiple departments with regulatory research and provide written summary

·         Incorporate quality improvement into all responsibilities of the position

·         Other duties as requested

Basic Qualifications

·         A minimum of 2 years of work experience in a similar role.

·         Strong communication skills – written and verbal

·         Strong detail oriented organizational skills

·         Must have experience with MS Office software (Excel, Access, Word, etc)

·         Ability to keep all information (regardless of means) confidential
