Compliance Business Analyst II recruitment
The Legal and Compliance Department of JPMorgan Chase Co is responsible for the provision of legal and compliance services to the Corporation. The department also includes the Office of the Secretary. Legal and Compliance is organized by Practice Groups that conform to the organization of the Firm's lines of business (LOBs) and corporate staff areas, allowing the legal and compliance staff to work closely with specific groups on a daily basis. Each line of business has an LOB General Counsel, who is the Practice Group Head and who reports to the Firm's General Counsel. This structure provides the means for the legal and compliance teams to communicate legal and regulatory changes to the businesses and staff areas, and for the LOBs and staff areas to communicate business developments that have legal or regulatory implications to the legal and compliance teams in a timely manner.
JP Morgan Chase is seeking Compliance Business Analysts to assist in the development and delivery of technical and process oriented solutions and recommendations in support of Compliance-related technology systems. Responsibilities include analysis of business and user needs, documentation of business and functional requirements, writing user acceptance test plans and scripts, managing UAT amongst the primary users.
Candidates should have experience with and understanding of project management methodologies, system development lifecycle methodologies, testing approaches and tools such as Quality Center. In addition, the successful candidates will have strong communications - both written and verbal - skills as well as people management skills.
Finally, while primarily performing the function of Compliance Business Analyst, this individual is expected to learn and over time show mastery of the current and ever-changing Legal and Compliance regulatory regime, JPMC policies and standards, and our primary businesses.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Writes business requirements by understanding scope, resources, and business needs. Works directly with business unit contacts to complete project.
- Communicates regularly with application support team to provide status updates. Discusses issues and determines best approach of providing consistent and effective application support to clients.
- Assists with production projects as assigned. Projects may include, but are not limited to root cause analysis of production defects
- Leads and facilitates design sessions.
- Develops an in-depth understanding of Compliance structure, systems, and processes.
- Develops in-depth knowledge of technology infrastructure.
Builds and maintains strong working relationships with business, compliance and IT partners.

Qualifications
- Minimum three to five years relevant experience working with Software Development Lifecycle Methodology.
- Knowledge of and experience with applying data privacy rules to end user entitlements.
- Able to work in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated capability to resolve conflicting requirements between stakeholders.
- BS or BA.
- Experience in drafting detailed business and functional requirements.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills.
- Knowledge of and experience with testing systems such as Quality Center.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in planning and execution of user acceptance testing.
- Ability to multitask in a busy and changing work environment.
- Strong interest in becoming compliance subject matter expert.
Preferred
- Process-oriented, logical thinker able to document and analyze workflows.
- Experience with Compliance or Risk systems.
- Knowledge of KYC and Due Diligence compliance framework.
