Compliance Consultant – Sydney – Financial Services recruitment

A great opportunity to step into a leading global financial institution within Sydney CBD.

This is a 12 month contract role
As a Compliance Consultant, your duties will include:-

* Review and communication of regulatory obligations including proposed and impending changes and business impact analysis.

* Supporting the business in the development of compliance plans, policies, procedures and implementation of controls to effectively mitigate risk.

* Complaints resolution - liaising with the business, legal and compliance to ensure efficient management and resolution of customer complaints.

* Support and promote the compliance framework

* On-going maintenance of the Compliance risk register including regular review of risks, monitoring of controls and actions and implementing practises and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:-

* Minimum 3 years experience in a compliance role within banking or financial services

* Local market regulatory compliance knowledge and experience - e.g. Complaints resolution, Privacy, AML/CTF, policy and procedure, compliance plans etc.

* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.

*To be able to identify upcoming legislative changes and how they will impact business.

*Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

* A passion for risk management and compliance and a desire to grow your career in this field.
