The Staff Compliance Team is recruiting for a Compliance associate to provide Compliance advisory support for Enterprise Services, which includes Digital, Brand, IT, and Payments. In addition, support for Global Finance and Corporate Areas, including HRCRE, CRG, and Risk Management is needed. The associate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and documenting compliance risks and associated controls within new areas/initiatives such as mobile and existing processes touching E-Commerce/digital and payments processing. The successful candidate will leverage strong analytical thinking skills to ensure all the requirements of Capital One-s Compliance Management Program are being met. Additionally, the associate will leverage strong communication skills to interact with Staff groups- leadership and business subject matter experts, Legal, the Compliance department and business risk officers in on-going relationship management. The successful candidate will promote a culture of compliance risk management and balanced risk taking, while ensuring appropriate monitoring is in place to identify process breakdowns, and facilitating corrective action. This associate will use strong organization skills to and lead compliance-oriented process improvements as needed.

Responsibilities:

- Support Enterprise Services, Global Finance, and/or Corporate Areas in regulatory compliance for the enterprise in collaboration with Operations and IT teams
- Manage certain specific Compliance Programs, such as Payments and Regulation W, for the enterprise in collaboration with Bank Operations, Business Risk Officers, other Compliance teams, and Legal resources
- Capture, maintain and analyze compliance data to ensure consistency and adequate Compliance Risk Management documentation practices
- Develop and leverage key relationships with stakeholders that enable collaboration across enterprise-wide functions
- Assess applicable laws and regulations relevant to business area processes; identify appropriate controls and test plans and support documentation of same in the Governance, Risk Management Compliance (GRC) system (compliance documentation system)
- Manage risk events in these areas where there is a Compliance impact. Coordinate with applicable business areas to define/implement remediation activities
- Lead monitoring and reporting efforts to ensure metrics are implemented and effective process reporting is produced
- Ad hoc support of project work, as needed

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelors Degree
- 10 or more years experience in compliance or risk management within the financial services industry
- 5 or more years experience in evaluating business processes for regulatory compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

- 2 years supporting e-banking compliance including FFIEC requirements, Regulation E, NACHA requirements, OCC risk management guidance
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Management (CRCM), IAPP Certification, and/or CAMS Certification
