Compliance Director-Global Cards

The Global Cards Compliance Director will provide compliance support, coverage and coordination to global Cards products, services, and marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Brands Cards Front Office Director, he / she will be responsible for providing timely compliance advice and subject matter expertise to key business stakeholders, and for participating as a trusted compliance advisor in global initiatives from the initial planning stage through to implementation. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate flexibility, versatility and an ability to shepherd multiple concurrent priorities to completion without significant guidance. Demonstrable success in coordinating large-scale projects involving geographically and functionally diverse stakeholders is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to succinctly convey information to senior management are expected. Specific job responsibilities include: -Lead the development and implementation of a Global Cards Compliance Program -Manage the ongoing, development, and implementation of appropriate global Cards Compliance objectives, strategies, and policies -Provide ongoing compliance support to: -Cards Global New Product Development -Cards Global Rewards -Global Consumer Banking -Cards Merchant Acquiring -Citi Global Transfers (CGT) and other activities and services of Citishare -Handle initiatives involving innovative pre-paid, mobile and/or digital products and services, and highly complex data privacy, AML and other regulatory compliance issues with a high degree of independence -Collaborate and liaise effectively with key global stakeholders, including Legal, Corporate AML, Privacy, and local and regional Cards Compliance teams -Proactively identify and drive the remediation of global compliance risks -Direct the communication of compliance issues and their disposition to all relevant stakeholders, including executive-level Compliance and business management, on a timely basis -Develop and maintain a global inventory of key global regulatory compliance risks -Provide ongoing information on significant global compliance risks, trends, and supervisory agency expectations -Assist in the development, review and administration of global Cards Compliance training -Otherwise support the Citi Global Consumer Compliance program

- 10+ years experience leading compliance or regulatory control functions - Deep understanding of bank regulatory, governance and compliance obligations - Strong facility with risk management concepts - Deep and current understanding of banking products and services - Sophisticated understanding of, and demonstrated ability to thrive in, complex, matrix managed organizations -Proven leadership record and level of comfort with direct management and management through influence; well-respected team player - Experience with compliance oversight of non-US banking businesses and regulatory regimes - Trusted advisor of highest integrity; exceptional judgment and bias towards results - Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and analytical skills - Bachelor's Degree Required, Secondary degree (JD or MBA) preferred
