GENERAL LEVEL OF RESPONSIBILITY
Functions as a strategic lead for regulatory compliance. Demonstrates extensive regulatory compliance knowledge of consumer banking regulations, particularly those related to the credit card business, including Regulation Z, UDAP, Regulation B and Regulation P, as well as strong working knowledge of ancillary products and their related regulations. Works closely with operations and other groups so that they develop quality assurance processes that sufficiently mitigate regulatory risk. The successful candidate will interface with Law, Audit and multiple business units and have the ability to assume a lead role in these interactions.
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES:
Provides expert regulatory advice on compliance matters and is involved in the review and approval of products, advertising, training and operating policies and procedures to ensure regulatory and JPMC global compliance policies and requirements are achieved. This includes participating on product development teams; working with business counterparts on marketing campaigns and creative review; participating on implementation teams for new regulations and reviewing and approving business processes and procedures to ensure they are structured to effectively mitigate regulatory risk. Responsible for completion of RegulatoryRisk Control Matrices. Works with line of business management to develop corrective action plans and monitors progress. Reports the Compliance Managing Director for Preventive Control and Acquisitions/Growth.
- Experienced compliance professional with a minimum of 8 years consumer regulatory compliance, examination and/or credit card compliance experience. Candidate typically has 8 years banking experience which includes strong working knowledge of advertising/marketing practices and related operations.
- Bachelor degree or comparable work experience required.
- Excellent decision maker with ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to work in close partnership with others in Compliance, Law and Audit as a team player, as well as business and corporate counterparts
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and resource management skills
- CRCM preferred
- Must have demonstrated success in leading a team
