Our client is a leading Insurance and Investment Management business globally and enjoys stellar reputation in the space. As a part of their internal move they are seeking an experience candidate to join their Compliance team in Hong Kong.
Reporting to the Chief Compliance officer, this is a regional role which will oversee general compliance function. As a successful hire in this role you will be responsible for assisting the CCO in delivering compliance services in the region, ensuring effective compliance risk management controls and processes are in place to comply with the regulatory requirements, policies and procedures. The role requires you to perform quality assurance reviews and testing’s on compliance controls, assisting BUCO’s to establish and maintain these controls. You will also provide training to territory compliance teams on compliance database; regulatory requirements etc and assist in ad-hoc corporate/divisional compliance projects.
To be eligible for this position you must be a degree holder preferably in Law, Accounting or Business Administration and have 10 years or above experience in Legal/compliance/audit within the financial industry preferably Insurance and/or Asset Management. You must have strong analytical skills and experience in reviewing and identifying weaknesses in compliance control processes. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Chinese is required.
