Compliance & Finance Manager recruitment
The successful candidate will cover a broad range of duties in this challenging and interesting role and be responsible for the development and evolution of the compliance function, as well as for providing ongoing support to the Finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of relevant FSA regulatory requirements and developments and advise the business of changes as required
- Manage the development and/or improvement of policies and procedures and processes to ensure they continue to support the business in complying with regulatory requirements
- Maintain and monitor Compliance timetable to ensure deadlines are met
- Manage the firm’s relationship with regulatory bodies and external advisors
- Undertake regulatory processes and reporting as required
- Identify compliance training needs and monitor staff completion of such
- Identify new regulatory requirements and develop compliant solutions with the business
- Produce monthly management accounts and presenting the key issues to the business
- Produce required FSA returns and reporting
- Be involved in the year end close and audit process
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly reporting
Skills and Experience:
- Significant FSA focused compliance experience
- Significant experience in finance - ideally qualified accountant although excellent part qualified or QBE with relevant sector experience may be considered
- Educated to degree level
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Computer packages (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint )
- Process driven and a quick learner - constantly reviewing for areas of improvement
- Excellent people skills and ability to work with people at all levels and influence others
