Job Description
- Establish and maintain an appropriate risk based compliance framework, policies and procedures for identifying, assessing, measuring, monitoring, managing and reporting Regulatory Risk and Financial Crime Risk,
- Develop and recommend (for approval by the relevant Risk Committee), appropriate policies and procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective processes, including training, advice and support, to ensure the functions, policies and standards are effectively implemented across Private Banking
- Ensure effective management of compliance matters across the Private Bank.
- In the event of serious regulatory breaches, or where risk tolerances have been breached, responsible for ensuring Head of Compliance, Private Banking, Singapore is informed and that actions are taken quickly to remediate and/or activities are ceased.
The Successful Applicant
- About 8 years first hand experience in Wealth Mgmt's KYC - this means understanding the laws of AML sanctions in Singapore (MAS 626, CFT) and other jurisdictions (FATF, OFAC etc), have first hand experience in reviewing client files, can face business in discussing the requirements for each file
- Experience in Singapore regulations - key criteria is the Banking Act and related AML regulations,
- Experience in SFA and FAA, CACS, is a plus
- Having a degree helps, having the ICT Compliance diploma would be viewed very favourably,
- Excellent in Excel and Access
- Ability to work under pressure.
