COMPLIANCE MANAGER – ASSET MANAGEMENT / SECURITIES recruitment
Our client is an international organisation that has set up its Singapore office, with a view to grow their business aggressively in the Southeast Asia region. With a visible strategy roadmap to increase its market share in the region, they are looking for an experienced Compliance Professional to provide compliance advice to the asset management / securities business in Asia.
Working closely with the CEO and director, you will establish the compliance function with oversight for compliance advisory and the management of regulatory affairs. This is an exciting opportunity for a compliance professional looking to step up into a leadership role.
Responsibilities
- Liaise with MAS, regulators, internal and external parties
- Ensure compliance with the SFA and other related MAS codes, rules and regulations
- Design and perform compliance monitoring and reviews, and facilitate process improvements to comply with internal policies and procedures
- Advise and provide oversight on compliance issues
- Conduct basic duties such as AML / KYC due diligence, compliance training, conflict of interest checks, compliance advisory, internal controls, etc.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in compliance within the asset management / securities industry
- Good product knowledge with regards to asset/investment/funds management
- Well-versed with MAS and SGX rules and regulations
- Strong oral and written communication skills
