Compliance Manager – Investment & Insurance recruitment

Our client is a financial institution with a leading position in the region. A rare opportunity has arisen for a seasoned and experienced candidate to advise their business management team on compliance related matters

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will be fully responsible for:

• Ensuring the business is in compliance with internal and external rules and regulations
• Advising management team in respect of investment and insurance products and services
• Conducting periodic review on the firm’s investment and insurance compliance programs and identifying actions for continuous improvement
• Ensuring that all necessary compliance information are properly documented, maintained and updated
• Providing training and promoting compliance awareness across the firm
• Liaising with local regulators on compliance matters or ad hoc issues

The Successful Applicant

You will be a University Graduate holding a degree in law and/or accountancy preferred with at least 8 years’ experience gained within a financial services compliance function.  You will possess sound knowledge of banking and securities laws, rules and regulations and operations, as well as different products and services offered by the business. Moreover, you should have strong communication, analytical and leadership skills. Hands on experience with retail and commercial banking will be an advantage.  Fluency in English and Chinese, both written and spoken is essential.
