Compliance Manager
Our client, a Global financial institution is looking for a Compliance Sanctions Manager within their MLRO function to join their compliance department. The individual would help provide support, guidance and advice to the business and senior management to develop and maintain regulatory standards to enhance and protect the reputation of the firm.
Duties Include:
· To be responsible for looking after sanctions regimes across all the business lines.
· Liaise closely with relevant businesses and ensure that they comply with Sanctions imposed by the UK/EU/UN/US.
· Guide, support and act as the primary contact to the AML local advisory teams on all Sanctions regimes.
· Advise on alerts by client screening systems and payments.
· Oversee, maintain and manage distribution of sanctions related policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with the Senior Management and the Policy Manager on all sanctions related matters.
· Ensure that Sanctions framework is in line with regulatory requirements and comply with Group policies.
· Look after Sanctions systems and controls and when needed provide proposals for improvements.
· Follow the AML/Sanctions key performance indicators across the UK and European businesses.
· Work closely and provide oversight to Level 3 Wolf and SCDM Investigation team.
· Be involved in searches that surround the UK and European businesses and all Sanctions issued by Group Compliance.
The successful candidate will ideally have an investment banking, wholesale banking or private banking background with a good understanding of Sanctions UK/EU/UN/US and the FSA rules. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrate the ability to deal with Senior Management in the UK and Abroad.
