Compliance Manager – China focused team recruitment

Our client has a strong presence in Asia and has been well-established in the banking industry in Hong Kong. Due to sustained growth and expansion plans, they are currently looking for a Compliance Manager to supervise a team within the Compliance department.

In this role, you will be responsible for all general compliance and risk management affairs including overseeing and monitoring compliance risk and advising the Senior Management in developing further guidelines, compliance policies and procedures to minimize the compliance risks for the business. You will be responsible to management a small team of junior members and be the key contact for the China businesses.

To be a successful candidate, you will have at least 4-6 years' compliance experience in the banking industry and the successful candidate needs to be familiar with the financial regulatory requirements both in Hong Kong and the APAC regions. You will have excellent communication skills in both English and Chinese, including Mandarin to liaise with internal team members and external regulators. Some management experience is highly preferred but not essential.
