Compliance Manager – Macquarie Funds Group recruitment

Strong prudential management has been a key to Macquarie's success over many years. The Risk Management Group is an independent, centralised unit responsible for assessing and monitoring risks across the Macquarie Group. The Compliance Division within Macquarie's Risk Management Group provides compliance support and advice to Macquarie's operating businesses.
The Macquarie Funds Group (MFG) Compliance team has staff in the US, Australia, Europe and Asia. MFG has a number of regulated entities in Australia covering both asset management and structured products the team in Australia have responsibility for all aspects of MFG's Australian entities and businesses including managed investments, custody, life insurance and superannuation.
This role will support the Macquarie Investment Management (MIM) division within MFG and will have responsibility for supporting the business upon all compliance related matters.
Key responsibilities:
- Providing advice to the business on compliance implications arising from business changes (e.g. New Products) and regulatory change;
- Review, update and implement policies and procedures as required;
- Managing and delivering on compliance projects and monitoring programs;
- Senior Management, Board and Compliance Committee Reporting;
- Complaints and incident management advice, resolution and reporting;
- Promote awareness of compliance
The successful candidate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting / Finance, Law or another related discipline;
- Familiarity with various Australian and offshore legal structures and vehicles;
- Demonstrable compliance experience - those with investment management and structured products will be favourably regarded;
- Persuasive communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Experience and established working relationships with regulators and industry bodies such as APRA, ASIC, and FSC.
