Compliance Manager recruitment
My client, a global financial services company has a requirement for a Compliance Manager Senior Compliance Officer to take ownership of the entire compliance function within the Singapore entity and to create a strong ethical and compliance framework for the firm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing advice to the business on a broad range of compliance issues ('Know your Customer', 'Anti-money laundering', conduct of business, etc.) . In addition, the role will cover:
* Assisting the development of policies and procedures designed to minimise the risk of breaches of legal and regulatory requirements.
* Providing an active advisory service to staff in relation to regulatory matters.
* Implementing and undertaking a structured monitoring program with the objective of identifying the regulatory risks to which the business is exposed and consistent with the monitoring work done Globally.
* Developing and maintaining strong relationships with the various business units within the firm and the Monetary Authority of Singapore
* Undertaking administrative roles such as individual registration, periodic information mailings and filing
The successful candidate will have:
* 2 - 3 years compliance experience, obtained either at the Monetary Authority of Singapore or a CMS licensed firm (equities compliance experience preferred).
* To be educated to at least degree level.
* The role requires the candidate to have the ability to understand and balance the commercial objectives of the firm against the legal and regulatory obligations placed on it by the MAS and any other regulatory regime the firm may be subject to.
