Compliance Manager recruitment
Job Responsibilities
• Provide advice to business partners (front and back offices) on compliance issues and potential impact of regulatory trends and developments
• Assist with the implementation of new regulatory requirements and develop amendments to the compliance program, as needed
• Assist with developing and managing a robust compliance testing reporting; identifying potential compliance and/or control risks for compliance checks and control enhancements
• Provide support to business and/or supporting units in the development, implementation and regular review of policies and procedures for their operations with due regard to all applicable regulatory requirements
• Enforce the General Compliance Manual of the Branch and provide necessary assistance and training to staff
• Provide Anti-Money Laundering ("AML") compliance advisory support and training to the business partners and handling AML issues for the Branch
• Undertake investigations into any suspicious transactions reported by both internal and external customers
• Follow up on all compliance-related, including AML findings, relevant rectification
• Assist Senior Management and Head of Compliance with special compliance projects
Requirements
Knowledge, Skill Attributes
• Good knowledge in Singapore banking laws (including BA, SFA and FAA), operations, products and services
• Self-motivated, independent, pleasant, with good communication skill and able to communicate effectively at all levels
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Mandarin/ Putonghua)
Academic and Professional Qualification
Degree holder in Law, Accounting or related discipline
Training and Relevant Experiences
Minimum 5 years general auditing or compliance experience (experience and knowledge in Private banking, Wholesale banking, and/or selling investment products is preferable) in a bank in Singapore and/or regulatory bodies
